Andrzej Leśnik
Andrzej Leśnik, born in 1959 in Głuszyca in Lower Silesia, is an outstanding Polish artist, painter, teacher and organizer of many plein-air workshops and art competitions. His artistic path has developed over the years, from studies to active activity at his alma mater.
In the years 1974–1979 he studied at the State High School of Fine Arts in Poznań, and then in the years 1979–1984 he continued his studies at the Faculty of Painting, Graphics and Sculpture at the State Higher School of Fine Arts (currently the University of Arts) in Poznań. He obtained his diploma in painting in 1984 in the studio of Professor Włodzimierz Dudkowiak, which became the starting point for his artistic career.
Since 1984, he has been associated with the University of Arts in Poznań, currently serving as a full professor and teaching classes at the 1st Painting Studio at the Faculty of Artistic Education and Curating. As an active participant in artistic life, Leśnik is involved in organizing open-air events for students and art high school students. He is also the initiator of many art competitions, such as “Figure of the Body” in Poznań or the National Drawing and Painting Open Air of the Art Secondary School in Kościelec, which is named after Krystyna Drążkiewicz.
Andrzej Leśnik is known not only for his teaching and organizational activities, but also as a talented artist who uses painting and drawing. His works are an expression of deep reflection on form and content, gaining recognition at many individual and collective exhibitions.
