Grzegorz Worpus-Budziejewski

Grzegorz Worpus-Budziejewski, born in 1986, is a versatile artist, a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts. Władysław Strzemiński in Łódź. His artistic path began at the Painting Studio under the supervision of prof. Włodzimierz Stelmaszczyk. In addition to painting, Worpus-Budziejewski also works as a designer and graphic artist, and is professionally involved in the construction of film and advertising sets. Although he currently lives in Warsaw, his heart remains connected with his hometown of Łódź.

The artist presented his works at both individual and collective exhibitions in Poland and abroad. His most noticeable and appreciated series is “Sensual Landscape”, inspired by the landscape of the town of Amalfi in southern Italy. Worpus-Budziejewski has been translating fleeting memories of sunrises and sunsets into painting reality, creating lyrical landscapes since 2015. The “Sensory Landscapes” series has gained wide recognition and gained crowds of loyal recipients. His works decorate countless private collections both in Poland and abroad.

Art critic, prof. Teobaldo Fortunato describes Worpus-Budziejewski’s work as transcending the patterns of time and place. His landscapes are acts of undisguised pictorial lyricism, where time and space merge into fantastic shades of the sea or blue sky. These works are like visions that are not remembered forever, and their colorful compositions remain in the soul of the observer. Worpus-Budziejewski extremely precisely captures the atmosphere of places, perhaps the Seas of Southern Europe, while creating landscapes that transcendentally transport the viewer to another dimension of emotions and perception.
